This essay on the third and last polychatic Gatha follows the methods and interpretations detailed in volume 6 of this series on the Gatha ustauuaiti. Any analysis of the Gathas, this one like all the others, must assume the postulate of the use which was made of them and which is the very reason for their composition.
Cet essai sur la troisieme et derniere Gythy polyhytique persiste dans les methodes et les convictions de mes articles du Journal Asiatique de 2013 et 2014 sur la Gythy ahunauuaitiet du volume 6 de cette serie sur la Gythy ustauuaiti. Il s’agit au depart d’accepter le caractere inexpugnable de certaines difficultes et, au lieu de vouloir les resoudre a tout prix, concentrer son attention sur le movement des mots, consideres non plus comme pretant leur sens general a des circonstances diverses, mais comme referant de maniere continue a une donnee technique precise. Toute analyse des Gythys, celle-ci comme toutes les precedentes, doit assumer le postulat de l’usage qui en etait fait et qui est la raison meme de leur composition.
