Essais sur la philosophie de la guerre

Ces essais ont l’ambition de cerner chez les philosophes modernes, de Machiavel a Tolstoi, en passant par Kant, Fichte, Hegel et d’autres, les grandes theses susceptibles de contribuer a l’elaboration d’une philosophie de la guerre. Mais en meme temps ils veulent contribuer a une section de la theorie de la guerre dans la mesure ou la strategie classique ou encore conventionnelle redevient un probleme fondamental. On s’etonnera certes que le philosophe dont la vocation est la recherche de l’Etre se penche avec soin sur la guerre. Mais le philosophe ne serait pas philosophe si ainsi il n’allait a la rencontre de l’homme saisi par la violence et en proie a l’angoisse, au destin, a la mort.
