Where are colors located? On objects, in consciousness or somewhere else? Since the 17th century, philosophy has been discussing the question of where colors are located and what they are. Color objectivists and color subjectivists disagree on this: either colors are object properties or phenomenal properties. These contrary views are challenged in the 20th century by phenomenology.
