L’ouvrage se compose de deux parties : les cinq chapitres de la premiere se rattachent chacun a l’une des grandes divisions de la grammaire descriptive du francais. Ils ont ete elabores selon des points de vue theoriques tels que l’approche transformationnelle, l’analyse textuelle, les conceptions modernes de la semantique et de la pragmatique, ainsi que les resultats non negligeables obtenus jusqu’ici par la linguistique contrastive francais-hongrois. Cette approche complexe permet une analyse plus fine et plus exacte de problemes dans les themes de la determination du nom, de la pronominalisation, de l’aspect et des temps verbaux, des types de complementation, des correlations a l’interieur de la phrase complexe. La seconde partie consacree a la stylistique contrastive se limite au dernier chapitre, mais n’en est pas moins la suite et l’aboutissement normal des chapitres precedents, car dans l’analyse des themes traites il a fallu souvent distinguer le fait de langue du fait de style et tenter de donner une definition acceptable et moderne du style meme. Ce chapitre souhaite prouver en meme temps que le style et la stylistique meriteraient une part de recherche beaucoup plus importante que celle qui leur a ete reservee jusqu’ici.
