Das Buch bietet eine Neuausgabe der Konzilschronik Ulrich Richentals. Der Text fusst auf einer ebenso vollstandigen wie kritischen Sichtung der gesamten Uberlieferung, wobei der Augsburger Erstdruck von 1483 mit einbezogen wurde. Die Textausgabe hat das Ziel, die Chronik (entstanden um 1420), deren exzeptioneller Quellenwert ganz unbestritten ist, einer breiteren Off entlichkeit in einer modernen und ansprechenden Form erneut zuganglich zu machen. Alle, die sich im Vorfeld des 600-Jahr-Jubilaums des Konstanzer Konzils auf Richental und sein chronikalisches Werk einlassen wollen, mogen deshalb ein Buch vorfinden, das lesbar, handlich und zitierfahig zugleich ist. Der Ausgabe sind eine Einfuhrung, ein Glossar mit Worterklarungen und ein Register beigegeben.
