Con un approccio diversificato, questa miscellanea ha per filo rosso la ceramica, intesa soprattutto come materiale dell’arte e dell’artigianato contemporanei. Si vogliono mettere a confronto storici dell’arte e curatori, impegnati nell’interpretazione dei nuovi linguaggi, e referenti di importanti progetti italiani ed europei, orientati alla valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale e al rinnovamento dei processi. Pertanto, il libro si articola in due sezioni, tra loro simmetriche. Ciascuna prevede due riflessioni sul contesto italiano e internazionale, un caso di studio e due contributi legati specificamente alla realta di Castelli (TE), borgo abruzzese di antica tradizione ceramica. La prima sezione e dedicata ai fatti artistici e vuole contribuire al dialogo tra ricerca ed esperienza curatoriale. La seconda sezione, orientata al sistema della ceramica, prevede saggi di taglio economico e sociologico, i cui temi spaziano dalle mostre-mercato agli itinerari culturali, dall’indagine sulle piccole e medie imprese alle nuove proposte in ambito didattico.
