Advancing Special Education

The Kent State University International Summit on Learning and Behavioral Health was held on June 12th to June 14th 2024 in Florence, Italy, where we provided an international forum for discussion, dissemination, and advancement of special education knowledge related to the learning and behavioral health of students. The summit brought together experts in a variety of disciplines for a series of presentations, discussions, and critical conversations on important topics in special education research and practice around the globe. Sessions featured issues that are novel, innovative, provocative, and/or methodologically challenging and are designed to maximize engagement between presenters and attendees. This accompanying journal includes manuscripts from many of the presentations delivered.
