This CD-ROM provides a visual tour and a historical and cultural overview of the archaeological site of Pseira, in eastern Crete. Pseira was a Minoan town on a small offshore island. It was inhabited from the Final Neolithic (before 3000 B.C.) until the end of the Minoan period, about 1100 B.C. Pseira was small, but it was an important port, and its colorful frescoes, beautiful pottery, and other fine objects testify to its wealth during the Minoan period of Bronze Age Crete. The CD-ROM provides an introduction to the art, archaeology, and daily life of this interesting seaport using over 250 color photographs and drawings, most of them not published elsewhere.
