Villa Caprile is located near Pesaro, on the hillside that is home to several historic villas. It was commissioned by the Mosca family in 1640 and became an agricultural institute in the late 19th century. The estate, which is now open to the public, extends over five levels, with an Italian-style garden renowned for its water jets and fountains. This volume retraces the history of the Villa through an investigation of significant historical events, decorative apparatuses, and the surrounding landscape.
