Cooperation in the humanities is today a natural part of scientific practice. This volume presents basic considerations concerning the theory and practice of cooperation in the humanities.

Forms of cooperation are inherent to scholarly practice in the humanities. By extrapolating on the symphilological term “reflection”, this anthology presents fundamental notions relating to the theory and practice of cooperation in the philological disciplines. In a narrower sense, it explores forms of cooperation in different academic fields of the humanities. In a broader sense, it also examines these forms as found in the infrastructural embedding of projects, their external impacts and the communication encircling them. The evidentiary interest of this book is not restricted to historical constellations, but covers current perspectives and collaborative possibilities in the different branches of the humanities.
