Nach dem Austausch der Heckenwande im Grossen Parterre von Schonbrunn im November 2003 sind die oft kaum mehr sichtbaren grossen Marmorfiguren wieder in voller Pracht in Erscheinung getreten. Auf Wunsch von Kaiserin Maria Theresia wurden die 42 Statuen mythologischen Inhalts vom Bildhauer W. Beyer geschaffen und damit die Ausstattung des Schonbrunner Gartens vollendet. Erzahlt wird die Geschichte der Statuen und deren Bedeutung; alle 42 Statuen im Grossen Parterre, in den Meidlinger und Hietzinger Bosketten, auf dem Neptunbrunnen, bei den Najadenbrunnen, bei der Romischen Ruine, im Brunnehaus, auf dem Obeliskenbrunnen und auf der Gloriette werden in attraktiven Fotos und Detailaufnahmen dokumentiert.
