Roderich Fick (1886-1955), der seit Beginn seiner Tatigkeit als Architekt eine handwerklich gepragte, traditionalistische Bauweise pflegt, wird neben Paul Ludwig Troost, Albert Speer und Hermann Giesler zu einem der mit Adolf Hitler eng vertrauten Architekten. Er zeichnet fur die Bebauung des Obersalzberges verantwortlich und wird in Hitlers Jugendstadt Linz als Reichsbaurat eingesetzt. Das vorliegende Buch erlautert, wie und warum Fick Auftrage der Nationalsozialisten bekam, beleuchtet die Zusammenarbeit mit Hitler, erklart die Grunde fur seinen Kompetenzverlust ab 1942/43 und verortet Fick daruber hinaus in einer spezifisch suddeutschen Bautradition. Sein architektonisches Gesamtwerk wird in einem Katalog erstmals zuganglich gemacht.
