Unlike these, Judicial Adjudication is characterized primarily not by an academic perspective but rather by questions from judicial practice. However, Hans-Joachim Strauch addresses himself not only to judges. The German legal system is characterized by the manner in which its case law is made. Anyone wishing to understand this system has to know how the courts establish their facts and arrive at their conclusions. German description: Die juristischen Methodenlehren, auch die neueren, sind primar durch den akademischen Blickwinkel gepragt. Die Methoden und Praktiken, die die richterliche Urteilsfindung ausmachen, zu analysieren und zu reflektieren, verlangt demgegenuber nicht nur eine Thematisierung der Streitfragen und Routinen der Rechtsermittlung, sondern auch der Frage: Wie kommt das Gericht zum richtigen Sachverhalt? Dieses Buch richtet sich nicht nur an (junge) Richterinnen und Richter, sondern insbesondere an Referendare und Referendarinnen. Es will den Prozess richterlicher Urteilsfindung transparenter machen und dabei helfen, diesen Prozess in allen seinen Stationen zu verstehen, um so das eigene praktische Arbeiten besser zu strukturieren und verstandlicher zu kommunizieren. Dazu bedarf es einer multiperspektivischen Betrachtung, die Erkenntnisse aus den Kognitionswissenschaften ebenso einbezieht wie etwa die verhaltens- und erkenntnisleitenden Einflusse, die sich aus der vielfaltigen institutionellen Einbindung der Richterinnen und Richter in die Justizorganisation und den Instanzenzug ergeben.
