This essay collection is concerned with the meanings, manifestations, and dynamics of justification and persuasion. It is a common assumption that one convinces a (rational) person of something by giving a good reason for it. However, it seems to not be that simple as many ways of trying to persuade or justify something can be found.

Mathis Lessau ist Akademischer Mitarbeiter am Husserl-Archiv der Universität Freiburg. Er forscht zu den philosophischen Rechtfertigungsstrategien der Alternativmedizin und leitet eine Forschungsgruppe an der Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften.
