English summary: This unique volume offers a French translation of Baumgartens Principles of Practical Philosophy, accompanied by Kants marginal notes in is well-worn personal copy. The reader can thus understand the important influence of Baumgarten on Kants thought, notably on his conception of morality and obligation, as well as the early importance of the theme of the good ruler.
