English summary: In his writings on international law, Carl Scmitt saw economic and military tendencies that relativized national sovereignties, translating diplomatic relations in terms of legal moralization. This book does not simply summarize Schitts analyses of international law, but reconstructs his ideas via his epistemology and theory of the truth. The book demonstrates that his relationship with Marxism, and his incorporation of its theories on imperialism, despite his fascist allegiances, played a large role in his theory of conflict. Selon le juriste allemand, un concept discriminatoire de guerre s’est impose au xxe siecle, fonde sur la distinction des ennemis en agresseurs et agresses au moyen de criteres formels discutables. L’ancien concept de la guerre juste serait ainsi revenu dans une forme secularisee et positivee, permettant de designer un ennemi absolu (le non-democrate, l’Etat-voyou, le terrorisme international, etc.) avec lequel il est exclu de negocier. Ce livre ne se contente pas de presenter une synthese des analyses du juriste en matiere de droit international. Tout en soulignant l’ideologie presente dans la pensee schmittienne, il en propose une reconstruction a partir de son epistemologie et de sa theorie de la verite . La question de son rapport avec le marxisme y occupe une place strategique. Il y est montre que Schmitt, representant du fascisme europeen qui s’est compromis avec le nazisme, n’a pas craint de s’approprier les theories marxistes de l’imperialisme pour les incorporer a sa theorie du conflit.
