I due saggi di Giovanna Coppola Bisazza e Felice Costabile qui raccolti sono estratti dal volume di Minima Epigraphica et Papyrologica XXII (2019) 24, dedicato a La Giustizia di Traiano: dalla storia al mito. Atti del Convegno Internazionale Reggio Calabria 3-5 Novembre 2017, in occasione del XIX centenario della morte dell’ imperatore. Da quel volume e tratta anche l’ introduzione. Questi scritti si prestano particolarmente a costituire la parte speciale di Diritto Romano del IV anno del corso di laurea in Giurisprudenza del Dipartimento di Eccellenza di Giurisprudenza, Economia e Scienze Umane dell’ Universita Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, rimasto l’ ultimo sul territorio nazionale ad avere tre materie romanistiche obbligatorie, con Storia e Istituzioni al I anno, cosi com’ era quando, fino agli anni Sessanta dello scorso secolo, gli studi universitari erano ancora qualificati e formativi, come lo era la Scuola. Dopo, il nostro Paese ha abbandonato le giovani generazioni, private della memoria storica e dell’ istruzione: la responsabilita del disastro, che emargina l’ Italia nel quadro del progresso scientifico e tecnologico, e senza dubbio anzitutto del ceto politico, in un raro caso in cui esso in una democrazia non riflette la medieta dell’ elettorato, ma le e largamente inferiore; ma tale responsabilita e anche condivisa da ciascun docente, che per opportunismo, ignavia, ignoranza o per atonia deontologica si e adeguato all’ andazzo. Ho cercato di non entrare in questa schiera.
