Inschriften der Spatzeit
Teil I: Die 21. Dynastie. Sonderausgabe
by Karl Jansen-Winkeln
English summary: The Inscriptions of Late Period Egypt, (Die Inschriften der Spatzeit) is planned as an extensive collection of texts from the late period of Egyptian history (21st to the 30th Dynasties), and includes all epigraphic inscriptions and papyri which are historically relevant in a broad context. Not included in this series are literary, medicinal and magical texts as well as standard funerary texts, such as the Book of the Dead. The collection should provide access to the variously published texts of the Late Period and provide critical information concerning the history, government, religion, and language of this period of time and will offer previously unpublished inscriptions as well as collate a considerable number of older publications. The first volume of this series contains texts from the 21st Dynasty, which is organized according to the rulers, and within each regnal period according to personal relations (royal or private) and place of origin. Those texts which can only be given a rough date are provided with their own chapter. This volume offers exhaustive indices, which, among other things, are keyed to the monuments from which the inscriptions were taken, making referencing easier. This is a reprint of the original 2007 edition in a slightly smaller format.
