English summary: The (pre-modern) Christian worldview is characterised by the fact that the world and time are understood as created by God and the course of history as determined by God: with a concrete beginning and a fixed end. This order of history is nowhere expressed more clearly than in universal chronicles, which illustrate its course diagrammatically as a linear synopsis.
