In 1927, in the Mammolshain district of the Konigstein/Taunus, a clinic for children with tuberculosis was founded. Thanks to the successes in combating TB, occupancy fell sharply from 1965 onwards. The sanatorium was closed in 1978. This book offers the first presentation of the facility and also deals with aspects that have not yet been dealt with – such as the experiments on children that Werner Catel, head of the facility from 1947 to 1954, carried out.
