Anna Wasa (1568-1625) was the daughter of the Swedish King John III. and the Polish Princess Katarina Jagellonica. When her brother Sigismund III. became king of Poland, she accompanied him there. This edition, which includes a detailed introduction, brings together Anna Wasa’s correspondence for the first time – a collection of sources that is important for the cultural history of the early modern period. The letters written in Swedish, German and Polish are all accessible through abstracts in German.
