German Description: Die Handschriftenabteilung der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek ist eine der ganz grossen Schatzkammern mittelalterlicher und neuzeitlicher, abendlandischer und orientalischer Handschriften. Die Handbibliothek hierzu ist ein Arbeitsinstrument, das Generationen hindurch mit ausserster Sorgfalt aufgebaut haben. Die Bibliothek umfasst die einschlagigen Spezialwerke aus allen Landern der Erde. Mit einem Gesamtbestand von uber 25.000 Banden ist sie eine der grossten Spezialbibliotheken fur die Handschriftenkunde im weitesten Sinne. Sie wurde in den letzten Jahren unter Anwendung einer eigens entwickelten Aufstellungssystematik vollig neu geordnet, katalogisiert und damit umfanglich erschlossen. Die Handbibliothek der Handschriftenabteilung der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek wird in Form eines Titelkartchendruckes veroffentlicht. Es sollen sowohl der Standortkatalog, welcher den Bestand der Handbibliothek nach ihrer feingegliederten systematischen Aufstellung darbietet, wie auch der alphabetische Kreuzkatalog, welcher den Bestand nach Verfassern bzw. Anonyma und nach Schlagworten erschliesst, vorgelegt werden.
