English summary: As a great testimony to the editing activities of Baltic historians and archivists, the “Liv, Est and Kurlandische Urkundenbuch” is the most important source edition on the history of late medieval Livonia, the area of today’s Estonia and Latvia, and serves as an indispensable instrument for researching Baltic history. After 15 volumes had been published in rapid succession until 1914, the project stalled due to political and scientific organizational changes, and a gap spanned from 1472 to 1494. Closing it has been a project of the Baltic Historical Commission for some time, from which the first result came in 2018 with volume I / 13. The following 14th volume offers numerous, often unknown documents on the disputes surrounding the Archbishopric of Riga and the associated hegemonic conflict in Livonia, on the economic interdependencies of the region in the Hanseatic and Eastern European trading area as well as on the legal, religious and social conditions of the cities and their citizenships.
