Peter Paul Cadonau (1891-1972), reformierter Theologe und Pfarrer aus dem Bundnerland, wurde wahrend des Studiums durch die religios-soziale Theologie von Leonhard Ragaz gepragt. In spateren Jahren wandte er sich der Wort-Gottes-Theologie Karl Barths zu und verstand sich als Verbi Divini Minister, als Diener des Wortes Gottes in emphatischem Sinn. Daruber hinaus wirkte er als Publizist und Schriftsteller. Der vorliegende Band fokussiert auf Cadonaus dramatische Werke, die im Anhang erstmals abgedruckt werden. Sprachgeschichtliche Bedeutung erlangten seine Ubersetzungen der biblischen Schriften ins surselvische Romanisch. Nach seiner Zeit als Pfarrer wirkte er im Dienst des von Emil Rupflin gegrundeten diakonischen Werks Gott-hilft als Seelsorger und geistlich-theologischer Begleiter.
