Many of the first medical female students at Bonn University came from well-educated Jewish families. Without having had any kind of female example for themselves, most of them finished their studies with best exam results and, in some way, became the lead generation on the academic pathway for those female student generations to come. Despite early success in the job, after the end of World War I, a considerable number of these early medical female doctors were faced with reservation from their male colleagues and with discrimination during employment requests. Early 1933 they were excluded from certain medical doctor positions which later terminated in persecution by the Nazi regime. Not all managed to leave Germany in time; some of them successfully started a new career abroad. None of them never forgot the injustice which they had suffered.
