The disinterested search for the truth is not only the guiding principle of scientific research, but can also have similar significance for ethical deliberation. In modern philosophy, such a view is usually associated with the debates on scientific and moral realism – two debates that are usually kept separate. The book seeks to elucidate the neglected connections between these two realism debates.

Leon-Philip Schäfer hat Philosophie und Physik an der Leibniz Universität Hannover studiert und im Rahmen des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs „Integrating Ethics and Epistemology of Scientific Research” promoviert. Das vorliegende Buch mit dem Titel „Wissenschaftlicher und moralischer Realismus” basiert auf seiner Dissertation. Momentan arbeitet er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Philosophie der Leibniz Universität Hannover.
