Enmannsche Kaisergeschichte. Rufius Festus
Edited by Bruno Bleckmann Edited by Mehran A. Nickbakht Edited by Carlo Scardino
As part of the ongoing series “Kleine und fragmentarische Historiker der Spatantike”, this new volume presents a reconstruction of the now lost “Enmannsche Kaisergeschichte”, or simply “Kaisergeschichte”, known to have covered the Imperial history of Rome probably up to the mid-fourth century. In addition, the volume contains a critical edition of the “Breviarium” by Rufius Festus, including a facing-page German translation and a commentary on both philological and historical issues.
Bruno Bleckmann ist Professor für Alte Geschichte in Düsseldorf.
