In this philosophical study, Christiane Turza critically analyzes common ideas of manipulation and develops a new understanding of the term. She shows why manipulation is a genuinely ethically problematic phenomenon and explains why we have to overcome the popular image of manipulation as a form of influence circumventing reason.
