Der Phanomenologe Merleau-Ponty stellt fest: “Ich beobachte aussere Gegenstande mit meinem Leib, hantiere mit ihnen, betrachte sie, gehe um sie herum, doch meinen Leib selbst beobachte ich nie: um dazu imstande zu sein, brauchte ich einen zweiten Leib, der wieder seinerseits nicht beobachtbar ware.” Je naher wir den Augen kommen, also dem Kopf, wird es ganz vertrackt — trotz Spiegel, Foto, Video. Oder wenn die linke Hand die rechte ertastet, dann bleibt die tastende Hand der blinde Fleck. Merleau-Ponty nennt dieses Phanomen die “Standigkeit des eigenen Leibes”. Und deshalb ist der Korper nicht “Gegenstand der Welt”, sondern “Mittel unserer Kommunikation mit der Welt”. Mehr noch: der Korper ist der “latente Horizont all unserer Erfahrung”. So schwer es also ist, den eigenen Korper wahrzunehmen und zu beschreiben, wir haben es hier versucht. Und zwar — wie stets in den “texturen”, indem wir performative Verben benutzen oder kreieren. Im achten Band der “texturen” fragen die Herausgeber*innen und Autor*innen: wie “korpern” sie selbst oder andere? Wie werden Menschen korperlich im Raum? Wie korpert der Diskusweltmeister Robert Harting? Wie die transsexuelle Grande Dame Angelique Nagel? Wie korpern Schriftsteller*innen am Schreibtisch?
