This is the first publication of 400 documents from the reformed city of Zurich until 1675 in 496 critically edited versions. The documents pertain to all facets of church orders: services, priesthood, synod, marriage, care for the poor, school, morality, and much more. The edition contains a detailed introduction, and all texts are accompanied by a commentary, glossary and index, making them easily accessible to specialists and non-specialists. Apart from theological and church matters, the documents in this edition also offer a wealth of historical, social, and cultural information.
