By (author) F. Baghdassarian
English summary: From a careful reading of the entire Aristotelian corpus, with particular focus on the physical, cosmological, and metaphysical texts, this work shows the centrality of the notion of principle in the Aristotelian study of the gods. More than a theology that seeks to define the essence of divinity, the Aristotelian inquiry into the gods (celestial bodies or immobile driving forces) constitutes an archology.
