Pflegende Angehorige und der diakonische Auftrag der Kirchen

Pflegende Angehorige leisten fur die Gesellschaft unersetzbare Dienste – und doch werden sie kaum wahrgenommen: Sie kommen in offentlichen Debatten weder zu Wort, noch sind sie Gegenstand sozialpolitischer Programme. Auch in der kirchlichen Diakonie liegen bislang noch keine Ansatze vor, der Angehorigenarbeit grossere Beachtung in der diakonischen Arbeit zu schenken. Diese Lucke schliesst Simon Hofstetter. Fur ihn sind pflegende Angehorige ‘komplementar Betroffene’, die wegen ihrer meist umfangreichen Betreuungsleistungen vielfach von gesellschaftlicher Teilhabe ausgeschlossen werden und zu vereinsamen drohen. Er gibt kirchlich-diakonisch Engagierten Anregungen, wie sie in der Angehorigenarbeit sowohl vor Ort als auch auf gesamtgesellschaftlicher Ebene aktiv werden konnen, um dem entgegenzuwirken.
