English summary: How should a person approach the loss of a world that they once called home? Exile. Exile is the heart of this literary study, embedded in a series of phenomena whose exponential increase over the last century is driven by a rapidly changing sense of order in terms of the world, culture, and even of being. Migratory currents, such as those trigged in Iran by the revolution of 1978/79, in which a large part of the national elite were permanently forced out of the country, offers examples relevant for the analysis of the conditions of exile, its nature, and the consequences of a dynamic world as well as the subsequent cultural production derived from it. Starting from the premise that the heightened dynamics that exist in the spaces of exile exert a considerable influence on literary production, Angelica Fruhwirth examines the narratives within the transculturally-rooted prose of exiled Iranian authors. From this vantage point, Fuwrirth considers questions such as: Which aesthetic concepts within the authors works are retained in the process of translation and how are such concepts received by different cultures, in different places, and at different times? How are concepts like familiarity and strangeness rendered in individual narratives and linguistic forms? What roles do female authors play, and to what extent can those literary eruptions on the periphery be read as representative of a turn in the global order and the future of socio-political constellations that make up the world? Das Exil, Herzstuck dieser literaturwissenschaftlichen Studie, schreibt sich in eine Reihe von Phanomenen ein, deren exponentieller Aufschwung wahrend des vergangenen Jahrhunderts zunehmend fluider werdende Welt-, Kultur- und Seinsordnungen nahelegt. “Migratorische Strome” wie jene, die durch die Revolution des Jahres 1978/79 im Iran ausgelost wurden und grosse Teile der nationalen Elite dauerhaft ausser Landes zwangen, fordern eine Auseinandersetzung mit den Bedingungen, dem Wesen und den Konsequenzen einer “dynamisierten Welt” sowie mit der daraus resultierenden Kulturproduktion. Ausgehend von der Annahme, die von erhohter Dynamik durchzogenen Produktionsraume des Exils wirkten sich massgebend auf das literarische Schaffen aus, ergrundet Angelika Fruhwirth die Narrative der im transkulturellen Raum angesiedelten Prosa iranischer Exilautorinnen und geht dabei diesen Fragen nach: Welchen asthetischen Konzepten gemass ubersetzen die Autorinnen aus verschiedenen Kulturen Rezipiertes, an unterschiedlichen Orten und zu abweichenden Zeiten Geschehenes, “Eigenes” und “Fremdes” in eine individuelle Erzahl- und Sprachform? Welche Rolle spielt dabei weibliche Autorschaft und inwiefern konnten jene literarischen Eruptionen “an der Peripherie” stellvertretend fur eine Wende globaler Weltordnungen und die Zukunft gesellschaftspolitischer Konstellationen gelesen werden?
