English summary: The contributors to this volume would like to make historiography as experience-related and experience-generating praxis understandable and in order to do so, take example from Ferdinand Gregorovius (1821-1891). The starting point is the individual experience of historicity, which is isolated and examined with regard to its biographical preconditions and the history of thought in general. In a further step, the productive implementation and conveyance of this experience is sought out. Revealed here is the close connection between spacial perception and experience of time, something which characterizes Gregorovius’ work. Finally, the authors take a first ever look at Gregorovius’ history of reception and thereby the cultural aftereffects and broader implications of his work outside the discipline. German description: Die Beitrager dieses Bandes mochten Geschichtsschreibung als erfahrungsbezogene und erfahrungsgenerierende Praxis am Beispiel von Ferdinand Gregorovius (1821-1891) verstehbar machen. Ausgangspunkt ist die individuelle Erfahrung von Geschichtlichkeit, die herausgearbeitet und auf ihre geistesgeschichtlichen und personlichen Voraussetzungen hin untersucht wird. In einem weiteren Schritt wird nach der produktiven Umsetzung und Vermittlung dieses Erfahrungsbezugs gefragt. Hier zeigt sich die enge Verbindung von Raum- und Zeiterfahrung, die Gregorovius’ Geschichtswerk kennzeichnet. Schliesslich nehmen die Autoren erstmals die Rezeptionsgeschichte von Gregorovius und damit die kulturelle Nach- und Breitenwirkung seiner Werke ausserhalb der Fachwissenschaft in den Blick.
