This is the final index volume of a multi volume work focusing on the reflection of early Greek cultural history in Homer’s epics. It aims to provide readers of Homer’s epics with a picture of both the physical and spiritual background to his poetry, along with explanation and interpretation based on what archeology can currently provide. At the same time, it provides archeologists with information on those aspects of the poetry which could, in the light of current Homer research, assist them in interpreting early Greek monuments.

English summary: This installment “Directories and Indices” concludes the serial publication “Archaeologia Homerica.” The volume “Directories and Indices” of the serial publication “Archaeologia Homerica” is an important tool for analyzing the Homeric epics and the extant archeological monuments. It includes a list of abbreviations, a list of the texts and figures as well as the indices to guide one through the entire series. The indices are divided into three different subindices for the individual languages (Mycenean, Greek and Latin) as well as six indices encompassing the works of Homer, Hesiod and other ancient authors, including an index on where the monuments are presently located. German description: Mit der Lieferung Verzeichnisse und Indices ist das Gesamtwerk Archaeologia Homerica abgeschlossen. Fur die Analyse der homerischen Epen und der archaologischen Denkmaler leistet dieser Band mit einem Abkurzungsverzeichnis, einem Verzeichnis der Text- und Tafelabbildungen sowie den Indices die notwendige Orientierungshilfe. Die Indices gliedern sich in drei Wortverzeichnisse (Mykenisch, Griechisch und Lateinisch) und sechs Register, die die Werke Homers, Hesiods und weiterer antiker Autoren sowie ein Register der Aufbewahrungsorte umfassen.
