Das Historische Museum der Pfalz widmet Richard I. Lowenherz ab September 2017 eine groae kunst- und kulturhistorische Sonderausstellung. In dieser stehen erstmals die Person und das Umfeld des Konigs im Zentrum. Wertvolle Handschriften, Waffen, Skulpturen und archaologische Funde aus den wichtigsten Orten seiner Herrschaft werden im begleitenden Katalog ebenso vorgestellt wie hochrangige Kunstwerke aus dem Kunstkreis der Plantagenet, Kapetinger, Staufer und Welfen.
