To mark the bicentenary of the death of renowned sculptor from Veneto, Antonio Canova, the Civic Museums of Padua hosted a series of “Canovian Days” as part of the activities planned by the National Committee for the Celebrations of the Bicentenary of Antonio Canova’s death. One of these events was a Study Day, which focused on assessing current knowledge on Canova’s life and work, particularly in relation to the city of Padua. It also looked ahead, exploring how this knowledge can shape future efforts in conservation, research, and public engagement.
