This book contains a translation into modern French of the letters Christine de Pizan wrote in 1401-1402 during the debate on the Roman de la Rose, of which she criticised the misogyny and obscenity. The other pieces of the debate are translated in an appendix.

Les autres pieces du debat sont traduites en annexe. Entre fidelite et interpretation, la traduction rend accessible au lectorat contemporain un texte a la langue ardue. Elle est accompagnee d'une riche annotation, qui indique systematiquement les renvois et les citations d'une piece a l'autre du debat et explicite les nombreuses references savantes auxquelles les differentes parties font allusion.
