Le cynisme dans les romans de Mirbeau, Drieu la Rochelle et Houellebecq

This study aims to define a new authorial status, that of the cynical novelist, and to explore the connection between cynicism and truth in the novels by Mirbeau, Drieu, and Houellebecq. Cynicism is a practice of truth-telling that puts literature in the doghouse.
