La Prose poetique du roman baroque (1571-1670)
by Suzanne Duval
During the baroque period, the expression “poetic prose” was an attested way of describing the style of the novel genre. This work studies the rhetorical and poetic context in which this form emerged, the traits that make it possible to define it, and its role in the novelistic aesthetic.
