Andres HÃ¥kansson is an Associate Professor in Food Engineering at Lund University. After obtaining his BSc, MSc and PhD at Lund University he worked five years at Kristianstad University. Assoc. Prof. HÃ¥kansson has authored more than 70 peerreviewed papers, most of them on emulsification devices in general, and the highpressure homogenizer in particular. Studies range from fundamental investigations on the hydrodynamics of these devices to applied studies on, for example, design optimizing to reduce power draw. Methodologically, his works spans from experimental to numerical/theoretical. He is regularly supporting and working in research and development projects together with industrial partners on emulsification devices of various types.
