English summary: The Late Middle Ages at Halberstadt Cathedral have received comparatively little attention. It was a time of crisis, in which the recollection of the history of the diocese became essential for the self-presentation of the cathedral chapter. Thus, unique objects were created that visually reference the past in order to give the by then marginalized Episcopal church back its former glory.
