The Hezilo Chandelier in the Cathedral of Hildesheim is the largest of preserved Romanesque wheel-chandeliers in the German speaking world. From 2001 to 2007, an extensive restoration project was undertaken and the results of research, conducted in tandem with the restoration project, concerning all aspects of the chandelier is presented in its entirety for the first time in this book. Der Hezilo-Leuchter im Hildesheimer Dom ist der grosste der erhalten gebliebenen romanischen Radleuchter im deutschen Sprachraum. In den Jahren 2001 bis 2007 wurde er umfassenden Restaurierungsmassnahmen unterzogen. Auf der Basis der bei diesem Anlass und nachfolgenden Untersuchungen beobachteten Befunde wird der uberlieferte Bestand des Leuchters erstmals in seiner Gesamtheit dokumentiert.
