The discovery of letters by André Gide and Dr. Louis Geslin, as well as that of previously unpublished drafts, allows us to trace in detail Gide’s process of refining his translation of Antony and Cleopatra, which culminated in 1938 with the publication of the definitive version in the “Bibliothèque de la Pléiade.”
