Fabio Scaletti (Milan, 1964) is among the most prominent scholars of Caravaggio. In addition to numerous articles, he has published the monograph Caravaggio. The Life of the Great Artist Told Through His Paintings (Milan, 2008), and wrote the two sections devoted to original works and those of disputed attribution in the volume edited by Claudio Strinati, Caravaggio Vero (Reggio Emilia, 2014; French translation, Caravage, Paris, 2015).
