Wie sind Bild und Bewegung miteinander verflochten? Wie wird dieses Verhältnis sichtbar? Der vorliegende Sammelband nimmt unterschiedliche Bildtypen, ihre Bewegungen und ihre Wahrnehmung als Einsatzpunkt. Ausgehend von verschiedenen Konzepten der Bewegung wird das Bewegungspotenzial der Bilder aufgezeigt, wobei das Bewegliche an vermeintlich unbewegten Bildern ebenso befragt wird wie Modi der Stillstellung bei Bewegtbildern. Dem geht die Überlegung voraus, Zeitlichkeit als eine Grunddisposition des Bildes zu diskutieren. Die Beiträge spüren den Bedingungen der Wahrnehmung von Bewegung im und am Bild nach und untersuchen die Auswirkungen von Bildbewegungen auf unsere Konstruktion und Wahrnehmung von Welt.
