Hedva Harekhavi (1941-2026) is regarded as one of the great modern Israeli poets. Migo, Harechavi’s final work, clearly and powerfully translated by Linda Zisquit, concerns the untimely death of her son, and addresses her grief in incantatory verse which has been compared to that of Gertrude Stein and Sylvia Plath.
