The End of Time in the Order of Things
Science and Eschatology in Early Medieval Art
by Bianca Kuhnel
Time and its end are among the fundamental questions of humanity. The fascinating but also terrifying anticipation of the end has repeatedly caused people to try to determine the time of its arrival. This volume pioneers the analysis of apocalyptic expectations in medieval Europe between 800 and 1000.
