English description: Just as there are different schools of psychotherapy that differ considerably, especially in their theoretical foundations, so there are four main approaches to psycho-motorics that share the same fate. In general, a clear, theoretical distinction into various therapeutic schools or approaches is offset by eclectic or integrative practice. How is such a practice justified? This volume attempts, for the first time, to answer this question by providing the theoretical foundations necessary to allow eclectic or integrative work in research as well as in practice; the book’s approach extends its impact beyond the fields of psycho-motorics and otology. German description: So wie es in der Psychotherapie verschiedene Schulen gibt, welche sich gerade in ihren theoretischen Grundannahmen teils deutlich unterscheiden oder sogar erheblich widersprechen, so gibt es in der Psychomotorik mindestens vier grosse Ansatzgruppen, welche das gleiche Schicksal trifft. Der klaren theoretischen Trennung in unterschiedliche therapeutische Schulen oder Ansatze steht eine in der Regel eklektische bzw. integrative Praxis gegenuber. Wie aber lasst sich eine solche Praxis legitimieren? Diese Frage ist bis zum heutigen Tage nicht uberzeugend beantwortet. Die vorliegende Untersuchung versucht – am Beispiel der Psychomotorik – eine umfassende erste Antwort auf diese Frage zu geben. Es werden mithin die wissenschaftstheoretischen Grundlagen geliefert, um sowohl in der Praxis als auch in der Forschung eklektisch bzw. integrativ arbeiten zu konnen, und zwar weit uber das Fach der Psychomotorik und Motologie hinaus.
