Inwiefern ist die Architektur imaginär? Welche Spielräume des Imaginären werden durch Gebautes oder durch Baupläne eröffnet? Von der anderen Seite her: Ist die literarische Imagination architektonisch? Bedarf sie stets eines gestalteten Chronotopos, einer Formierung des Imaginierten? Da Räume, Gebäude, Städte in der Literatur nicht nur entworfen, sondern imaginär begangen werden: Kann man diese Innenansicht des imaginär Gebauten “Bildkritik” nennen? Die in diesem Band vorliegenden Beiträge widmen sich in einem interdisziplinären Parcours nicht nur den Überschneidungen und Wechselbeziehungen, sondern auch der gemeinsamen Basis von Architektur und literarischer Imagination. Raumsemantik und Bildlichkeit erweisen sich dabei als Kristallisationspunkte.
